COMPUTATIONAL MODELING

Computational modeling

Computational modeling is a discipline showing an increased interest in biomedical engineering, integrating mathematics, mechanics and computer science for the purpose of creating computer biomedical systems. These computer models can mimic the performace of biological systems, from the level of a molecule to the systems of interconnected organs. Complex computer models integrating a great amount of details could reproduce the behavior of real biological systems with a great accuracy in a variety of given conditions, and therefore simulate the experiments necessary in the research of a specific problem.
