NEURODYNAMIC BRAIN IMAGING GROUP

Neurodynamic brain imaging group

Short description of the research area

In our research we use primarily magnetoencephalopgraphy (MEG) as a non-invasive non-contact neurodynamic functional brain imaging technique which allows a real-time monitoring and identification of the cortical networks underlying processes of perception and cognition. Our research interests include: visual processing of simple and complex stimuli (faces) and its context, change, rate of presentation, and attention related modulations; auditory processing and the effects of neurodegeneration on the dynamics and topography of the evoked cortical networks; multisensory integration and plasticity; development and evaluation of novel approaches to spatio-temporal source localization and functional connectivity.
