GROUP FOR EXPERIMENTAL BIOMECHANICAL TESTING

Group for experimental biomechanical testing

Short description of the research area

Mechanical testing of biological tissues in biomedical research contribute to the study of phenomenology changes in mechanical properties by various influential factors. Results of biomechanical testing may indicate the influence of certain medications and the methods of treating diseases or injuries, whether it's about bones or ligaments of examined sacrificed animals. Research is being performed in cooperation of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and Food Technology and Biotechnology with the Medical School of the University of Zagreb and hospital Akromion, and are presented at scientific meetings and published in recent scientific journals.
